I'm in the middle of facilitating a three day meeting for young people from all across Europe at Heinrich-Böll-Foundation. The foundation's purpose is to support political education both within Germany and abroad, promoting socio-political activism, democratic involvement and cross-cultural understanding (says Wikipedia). Among the many foundations in Germany this is the one closest to the Green Party. No suprise then that I found a nice installation on climate change in the entrance area.
It has icons and movable figures that you can place in a smoke-emitting factory disguised as a weatherhouse. You can mix and remix your own catastrophe, choose the corporate players, your type of toxic waste or your very own carbon credt label. I'm all up for communicating sustainability and climate issues in a playful way. Thumbs up from me.Comments [0]
Yesterday's graphic recording for Deutsche Bank and FAZ was all about suits and seriousness (and I do have it in me to find that immensely interesting), today it is facilitation for a great bunch of young people from all across Europe. These pictures are from this morning's opening session. KaosPilots will probably recognize it - it's a fun exercise to kick-off a group meeting and introduce each other. Great job the team did there!
Supersizing the European map was a bit of a "challenge": I didn't quite place Serbia and Romania correctly. Please forgive me, dear friends ;) But at least the participants had the opportunity to shape their own country. And all it took was a pencil. Revolution was never easier.Comments [0]
I made those out of A3 cardboard, added rivets, twined some red and white yarn and then perforated it. The stamp on the back is a stamp set with letters that you can set yourself.
It was a lot of fun doing these prototypes. As soon as I have settled with a logo and design for my company I will see that I can get them manufactured. As always, feedback is very much appreciated.
